Option 1
Mix & Mingle
Shanice Webb (right) mixes and mingles with faculty & students at the What the Health Satellite Session to understand how she might better position a elective course proposal at the Stanford d.school at the intersection of design & health.
This engagement requires you to show up and mix & mingle. No setup or prep required.
Option 2
Information Station
Fionna Purcell (left) hosts an Information Station for students to learn more about her work at Arup and design work opportunities in sustainable development during the Forbidden Design Satellite Session.
This engagement requires you to setup the Information Station which varies with each event, but is more/less 1 table with 1 or 2 whiteboards to display information about your work. Think paper, poster, stickers, etc…
Option 3
Activation Station
Students share their sketches of how they might reimagine the Stanford Town Center during the What the Health Satellite Session.
This engagement requires you to design a visual activity constrained to one sheet of 11x17 paper that prompts the students to reimagine a particular scenario from the context of the Satellite Session. The activity should work WITHOUT facilitation. This will allow you to spend your time mixing, mingling and connecting with people, rather than facilitating the session.
The work is presented live to the participants present and recorded to share via social media and continue momentum of the activation & ideas.
Option 4
Panel Participant
Rick Griffith, Shannon Gatta, Jason Headley share design work opportunities inspired by the science, craft and art of space travel at the Planetary Citizenship Satellite Session.
This engagement requires you to engage in 1-2 Zoom calls (~1hr-ish) prior to the event to help hone the POV of the conversation and make sure you’re shining in the right way.
Option 5
Superstar Speaker
Ise Lyfe premieres his original performance lecture, “Forbidden Design” at the Forbidden Design Satellite Session.
This engagement requires you to design & develop an original talk/performance that you’d like to deliver on the d.school stage to help amplify your thought leadership.
